Though I'm not a gigantic fan of the band's later work, got to give it up for U2 - October
Also like X's "Wild Gift" and the underrated country sidetrack by Elvis Costello, "Almost Blue" from the same year as "Trust."
Great list as usual, Uncle E. No real quibbles with what you've included.
However... one glaring omission, I believe: Dare - Human League
Plus perhaps honourable mention to: Penthouse and Pavement - Heaven 17 and Dirty Mind - Prince
And where's Paradise Theatre?
"Almost Blue" I'll give you nik, and although my wife would kill me I have to say that I thought "October" was a disappointment after the very good "Boy".
And, yes Rump DARE was left off, unintentionally. Not super familiar with the Heaven 17 and Prince albums, however, so I'll have to take your word on them--as usual!
