The last time I posted the inductees (A-B), some courageous soul calling himself "anonymous" asked, "What's the point of all this?"
Fair question.
It's available on the web right now on multiple sites. All one has to do is type in "Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductees" on google and...BLAMMO!...you've got 'em.
So why here?
Short answer #1 is because I can. The longer answer is because this is a music blog, populated by a few friends and like minded music fans who may not be geeky enough (or have the time) to search for these things on their own but may find some interest in my posting it. Short answer #2 is because it may spark some debate, like Mr. "Anonymous" thinking it pointless.
Which is really cool, actually. "Anonymous", whether he likes it or not, IS the reason I do what I do here on this little music blog.
So thank you "anonymous". Come back anytime. You're always welcome.

Your willingness to spark debate is what makes this one of the best music blogs on the web. I'm serious, there's some great ones out there and UEMN is definitely one of the finest.
Keep up the good work (and your tolerance level)— this is great stuff.
Now, for the R&RHOF list...I have little or no argument with anyone on the list, but I will say this...there are some names that seem to be there only because of their record sales. I'm not saying popularity shouldn't be a factor, fame and wealth (and nookie)is part of what its all about.
That said, if you include Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac then I'm OK with them, but the Bob Welch Fleetwood Mac blew and the Buckingham/Nicks Mac made 2 decent albums (sorta), is that HOF worthy?
The Eagles? I dunno... I knew people who thought The Eagles were Country Western...that statement would make Ray Price barf. Iy makes me barf and I'm not Ray Price. Now, I've gained an appreciation for them in the years since, but at the time they were just Linda Ronstadt's back-up band to me. They sold a lot of records, but so did Abba. They epitomized the Cocaine Cowboy persona and Glenn Frey is just Don Johnson with a guitar. They covered Jackson Browne and Tom Waits and sang back-up for Randy Newman which gets them some points, but HOF? I guess.

I have to agree with "Anonymous"! I too was curious as to the list. I scrolled down the list hoping for some opinions, commentary or any "Uncle E-isms", but alas, none to be found. Simply a list!! Well at least you know you're qualified to work for VH-1 with your list making skills!!!
